How to Prepare Water Based Paint
Explanation how to prepare water based paint.

Pigment - any color

Place small amount of pigment onto a flat, non-porous work surface.
Make small crater in the pigment.
Pour drops of water into the crater.
Carefully mix the pigment into the water.
Apply pressure with the palette knife to break up any lumps.
At this point, a few drops of dispersing agent (alcohol, disponil or oxgall) may help.
A muller may be used to disperse the mixture.
Now the mixture may be added to any water based paint binder.

*To make acrylic paints, mix in the emulsion. Combine equal amounts of acrylic emulsion to color paste (pigment and water mixture.)
