What is Shellac?
A short explanation about shellac - origin and usage.
A natural resin which gives a smooth, shiny appearance to surfaces. It is derived from the secretions of tiny parasitic insects found primarily in the trees and bushes of India and Thailand. Traditionally shellac is used to treat wood and metal. Today it is increasingly used both in the food and pharmaceutical industries to coat sweets, fruit and medications.

Additional Information and Tips:

To make French polish, we recommend adding 150 grams of shellc flakes to 1 liter of 96% alcohol.
